Growing up I always kept myself busy
Never stopped to think
My head was facing in the forward direction
Focused on what′s to come

I had my dreams laid out, step by step
Meticulously planned for success
But then it shifted in the other direction
And I had to find another way

And I
I've been feeling trapped and lost
Everything′s been so hazy
Trapped inside my thoughts
Before everything changed

All my life I never really had it easy
Worked hard to earn my place
I had this dream since I was a child
But I knew just talent wouldn't get me there


So, when the world turned upside down
I tried to find a silver lining
Started thinking in a different way
But it didn't go anywhere
(It didn′t go anywhere)

In that moment there were clouds of grey
A mist came over the steps I paved
And it felt like I stumbled
Every - step of the way

And I
I′ve been feeling trapped and lost
Everything's been so hazy
Trapped inside my thoughts
A cage of self-destruction
And I can′t escape this loneliness
And chaos in my head
I look for ways to get out
Before everything's changed
