Happiness and tears
Mingle so wondrously
Beauty and evil
Seem to unite so easily

And we, in spite of all we know
Just go on and on and on and on


Civilisations marches on
Destruction and decay likewise
People smoothly smiling
See the staring in their eyes

Science brings us prosperity
But nuclear bombs as well
Light gives us darkness like
Heaven gives us hell
