The Painter in the Woods Songtext

The Painter in the Woods Songtext
I paint the leaves condition
The northern flickers
In their positions
And I take the earths commanding
From where I′m standing
I see it all change
Like a young hare to a bonfire
They only want to heal me
So I give in
They only want to feel me
So I
Dive into the wishing well
Where my life and death repeat
There is a seer in this forest
A kind of keeper of the gate
Who has been standing there with outstretched arms
Awaiting our embrace
She has been lonely
Beginning to feel unheard
But she understands that only a select few choose to listen
But I'm just here to paint
I cannot bend the fabric of things like you can
Well
Maybe I could
Just a little further down
Yeah
Maybe I could
If I just keep on heading down
Down
The northern flickers
In their positions
And I take the earths commanding
From where I′m standing
I see it all change
Like a young hare to a bonfire
They only want to heal me
So I give in
They only want to feel me
So I
Dive into the wishing well
Where my life and death repeat
There is a seer in this forest
A kind of keeper of the gate
Who has been standing there with outstretched arms
Awaiting our embrace
She has been lonely
Beginning to feel unheard
But she understands that only a select few choose to listen
But I'm just here to paint
I cannot bend the fabric of things like you can
Well
Maybe I could
Just a little further down
Yeah
Maybe I could
If I just keep on heading down
Down
