The Coffee Song - Acoustic Songtext
von Jack Botts

The Coffee Song - Acoustic Songtext

She landed on the moon and took a look at the stars
And she said, "My oh my, how we′ve come so far?"
Been sailing overseas, flowing in the breeze
'Cause she′s one who's just free

She talks to butterflies because she knows they don't lie
And then they teach her all the pretty things like
To fly like they do
But when she comes back down from her high
They′re waiting there to rescue you

She says reality is overrated
Complicated, oh my god it′s so frustrating
She's caught up in a dream
She′s still half asleep

But I find it kinda cute how she keeps her small change
In her little back pocket for coffee kind of days
For half strength, skinny flat whites and mochaccinos
Cappuccinos, soy lattes with Zymil or coconut milk

What's that? Well I′m not too sure
But these are the little perks that I adore
And so when, when she wakes up in the sun
And everybody's on the run
She puts on a coffee song

Been caught up in a dream is all well and good
But she′s got places to be and people to please
And songs to sing and books to read and

Coffee to drink, no time to think, no time to look at pretty things
And she said to me that all negativity
Makes the world go around, mhmm

She says that fantasies are the way to go
'Cause nobody knows what you thinking and can tell you so
She's caught up in a dream
She′s still half asleep

But I find it kinda cute how she keeps her small change
In her little back pocket for coffee kind of days
For half strength, skinny flat whites and mochaccinos
Cappuccinos, soy lattes with Zymil or coconut milk

What′s that? Well I'm not too sure
But these are the little perks that I adore
And so when, when she wakes up in the sun
And everybody′s on the run
She puts on a coffee song
