Futile struggle, trodden ground
A fool′s fulfillment never found
Pursuit of grandeur, lack of time
Forbidden knowledge, liar's crown
And we search in vain


This sense of honour, burning down
In tombs of homage, courage found
Pass through the edge of inner tide
This path, nothing but painted facade
The road is paved in blood-covered anguish
A vast wasteland has forsaken me

We will never find this golden path
