My therapist Songtext

My therapist Songtext
My therapist thinks my ideas are great
I think it′s because he gets paid
The idea's about equity, it′s about wealth
Most think that it's dumb, you should think for yourself
If I buy a pizza place that makes a definite profit
(Profit, profit, profit)
Yeah, let's say yearly, the owners make a hundred thousand dollars off it
(Off it, off it, off it)
And if I buy this pizza place for, let′s say, $300K (K, K, K)
And when the workers recoup in three years, I′ll sign it over that day
(Day, day, day)
And wouldn't everybody not see?
They should buy their pies from me
You′d rather have a boss
When you can work democratically?
My therapist thinks my ideas are great
I think it's because he gets paid
The idea′s about hope, the idea's about soap
And most think that it′s dumb, and they probably know
If I sell soap and I call it Dr. Yonners (Yonners, Yonners, Yonners)
And if I sell it for the same exact price as the other guy offers
(Offers, offers, offers)
And if I pledge to offer every single penny (penny, penny, penny)
To the people who actually need it in my city (city, city, city)
Yeah, and wouldn't everybody see
That they should buy their soap from me?
They'll sell it for 35, fuck
We′ll sell it for 33
My therapist thinks my ideas are great
I think it′s because he gets paid
The idea's about voting, it′s about the future (the future, future!)
And most think that I'm dumb, I fucking think I′m a loser
In '72, Chile was ahead of its time (time, time, time)
It had plans for voting in-home, and it has the design
(Design, design, design)
In ′73, the United States staged a coup (coup, coup, coup)
We killed their president and in-home voting too (too, too, too)
Yeah, and wouldn't everybody not see
That this is something really desperate we need?
They buy those votes
And we are fucking stuck with the greed!
I think my therapist thinks my ideas are great
'Cause my ideas are great
I think it′s because he gets paid (he gets paid)
My therapist thinks my ideas are great
I think it′s because he gets paid
The idea's about equity, it′s about wealth
Most think that it's dumb, you should think for yourself
