Flairs the flame of achievement deep in my soul
In my beating chest burns a fire
And my desire is set for the hall of heroes
Never felt that I had a choice

So indifferent the stars dizzyingly distant
All time Orion cold the universe observes
Over the world he throws coldest silence
Be quick about it because short is lifetimes tale

A shooting star, night breeze, (we) exist only a moment

A fatal journey
Is mine in this world
Towards Váðaloga the journey is set
Where every mortal goes
Until noone remains


Wakes me tonight the sharp northern winds call
When my star from the night sky fell
A high cliff I stood watching down from
Saw a flight of wings disappear north across the ocean

They seem blocking infront of me mountains
Remain when the age finally is all
Is then noone to walk by my side
What remains when all has passed by

Faded picture of ancient site
Hardly upon the mount of fame
And now setting the sun goes down

Sink into oblivions sea
Cold under icy dive
Noone knows where doomed may wander

All in cold silence
Behind remain history and legend
About the day when a boy gloomy

Walked the weary mountains
Home to the hall of heathen heroes
