Just Waking Up Songtext

Just Waking Up Songtext
Waking up on a Tuesday
Like it′s gonna be a new day
Got a list of things to do
I'll clean my place and talk to you
Grab a bite and hit the streets
Got things to see people to meet
I′ll show my plan to the world
I'll stake my claim my flag unfurled
I didn't even hit the snooze
Radio clock didn′t tell the news
Phone rings and I hear your voice say
What did you do today
Because it′s half past three
I'm just waking up
Was gonna greet the day
But it′s almost gone
So what can I say
I'm just waking up
I′m just waking up
I'm just waking up
I′m just waking up
No accounting don't think I'm lazy
Sometimes it gets a little hazy
Like a note returned to sender
All the things I can′t remember
Like it′s June and then November
Like last night I think I went to my favorite bar
And caught my favorite band
I think they played a show
I saw some people that I know
They bought me lots of drinks
And I said thanks, I think
And then I think I drank
And drank
At least that's what I think
I′m just waking up
Was gonna greet the day
But it's almost gone
So what can I say
I′m just waking up
I'm just waking up
I′m just waking up
I'm just waking up
Sometimes the losers
Start winning
Lick my bruises
It ain't my inning today
When will it go my way
My way
These days seems like everybody
Gets their hands a little bloody
In a space from nine to five
The things they do to stay alive
Maybe crazy runs too deep
And maybe I am wide asleep
I throw myself to the river
Makes me swoon and makes me shiver
Let all my troubles drown
Like dear old Rip
Go deeply down
They are wrong
And I am right
They are sun
And I am moonlight
You see
It′s just half past three
I′m just waking up
Was gonna greet the day
But it's almost gone
So what can I say
I′m just waking up
I'm just waking up
I′m just waking up
I'm just waking up
Like it′s gonna be a new day
Got a list of things to do
