The Angels Are Crying Too Songtext

I went to Manchester the other day
I haven′t been there since I moved away
I met a friend he said "How's London, then?"
I said "It′s big but you get used to it,"
Then he said "Are you happy?"
I said "I'm not doing badly
How about you?"

Well, he said
"Just lately I have been miserable as sin
See that mangy looking cat?
I feel more desperate than that
I sometimes have a laugh but deep within
I'm miserable as sin,"

And then he started to cry
Embarrassing me and several passersby
He said "I′ve not very well
I′ve had a spell in Withington
A problem with my mind,"
Then he said
"I really miss that little crescent where we used to live

Sorry mate, it's hard to keep this in
When you′re miserable as sin
Bet you're thinking what a tiff
Is this the bloke I shared a flat with?

Look at my hands
I can′t stop them shaking
Its the tablets I've been taking

I can feel the whole world closing in
I′m miserable as sin
But I'm not complaining,"
Then it started raining

He smiled and said "Now I don't feel so blue
The angels are crying too."
