For every reason and every plight
There's an old man being pushed aside
The pace of the world leaving him behind
A young couple revel in adventure
Their love unknowingly tested but admiringly tender
A child reviews the money shot
Such youthful vanity makes my mind rage and my heart drop

My flight is delayed my dear so I′ll stay a little longer
What becomes of us my dear I can't say so I wonder
And I ramble on of the things I see


A story told without a happy face
Demands proof of the times or it never took place
A monotonous voice falls on deaf ears
As the glowing screens suppress all the fears
I'm met by a lady who thinks but can′t say
I′ve served five hundred faces and not one has asked of my day
