We leave the coastal waters all behind us
As the ships glides onwards to the high sea
Wind is cold I feel old
The waves break up my usual mold

Emergency exit it reveals to me
The elegance of my lifeboat partner
Must be hold we are told
In case we sink with all our gold

My soul is wandering above the top deck
As my body declares hamac havoc
Plaintive heart plaintive heart
Oh my loved one why why depart


After a restfull night a frugal breakfast
I ponder over what makes me border
Casual thought plus casual thought
All sum up but come to nought

But I left and fled back to my country
Although I loved you you were my deity
Such a flight day and night
Empties me of all my might

From the bottom of my heart I realise
How much you counted for me let it be
I left the track I packed my sack
Now it′s too late there's no way back
