The summer sun slowly gave in
Fall felt worse than it looked
The heat lingered on

The town was dieing bit by bit
The golden glow was resting now
The salty ocean breeze
Carried our voices
Cooled our skin

And took our breath and held it in
Seemed to whisper in our ears
"I′ll give you thunder
I'll give rain"
Waiting with our hearts in our hands
The blood in the sand


And the heavy sky turned black

And then the light and sound, itt rolled
Over the fields, aver the lakes
I felt her close nearby
Her love, a beacon, hit me hard
Through the dark and through thick night
Bruises covered all of me

From my feet up to my neck

And I know it′s out there
I know that run
And the tremble in the air
And the taste of the electricity
Never leave the tip of my tongue
And it grows with every step
Yeah, I know it's out there
