The cyclical behavior of mans greed and fear is what
Leads us to this place every few thousand years
Where we gain, and grow and we strain to know
Until too many have too little and we begin to switch gears

The ones on top strive to keep what they have
While us here on the bottom try to keep a grasp
The roles in life are rearranged to say the least
Always wanted more when we have so much of what we need

The world is changing (By now you oughta know)
Roles are rearranging (And we′re losing all control)
Of our decision making (And the ability to stand alone)
Everyone's now hesitating to stand up and take control


This leads us to the present and the state that we′re in
After years of degradation and believing ignorance is bliss
We all kept believing this system would prevail
And the worst part is
Its only beginning to fail
The ones in charge aren't looking out for the many
They have everything they need
But we don't seem to have any
Until we look out for each other and put you before ourselves
It′ll just keep going until there is nothing else
