Progress, a word that defines a process
That's inevitable when moving forward
The process of leaving things behind you
Seeking to improve yourself and learn from decisions you've made in the past
It ain't easy to face yourself
It ain't easy to acknowledge that the path you chose before the one you're about to choose now
Led you the other way
And what feels good today, could turn into bitter sourness tomorrow
You can't control this
Nor should you ever want to control this


Now, you may look upon uncertainty
As if this is a curse
You could choose to see it as a gift
A blessing in disguise 'cause it will force you to keep yourself on the edge
Striving for bigger and better things
It will force you to move forward
And reach for that high level you've been aiming for
It will give you power, courage
And conviction to make the choices you need to make
And every choice will have the concequences
You won't be able to escape from them
But the risk you take when you make them
Will turn into the reward you deserve
And ultimately
Bring out the best you'll ever have (ever have x?)
