All Along The Hudson Songtext

All Along The Hudson Songtext
It′s bring the ocean in here
I've found shells of a constant moon
And I′ve heard trumpets coming from the stereo
Waiting and waiting and waiting like Christmas bells
And I've found a heart of gold
All along the Hudson River
People pass carelessly by
Some with strange manners
Others with a glorious smile
Richard walks ahead for a better view
Glasses and a clean white shirt
Turns one moment to the other
And then he stays for more
And the season, it goes like a string
And the river, it flows like the season that goes
Now we're sitting on a bench that trembles
Richard counts his thoughts one by one
But the only thing that burns at the end
Is his lonely smile
(Smile) by the beast, by all the city
The museums gather eyes
(Lonely smile) Richard′s lights and the walls that fainted
And he smiles like a fool
And the season, it goes like a string
And the river, it flows like the season that goes
By a strange and lazy Sunday
July becomes a paradise place
Richard waves goodbye along the Broadway
She speaks of a coming day
Whilst the night slowly discovers
That they met on a strange avenue
The sun shatters down on Parkway
As if it was something new to do-do-do-do-do, da-da-da-da-ah
Something new to do-do-do-do-do, da-da-da-da-ah
Something new to do, do-do-do-do, do-do-do-do
Something new to do
I've found shells of a constant moon
And I′ve heard trumpets coming from the stereo
Waiting and waiting and waiting like Christmas bells
And I've found a heart of gold
All along the Hudson River
People pass carelessly by
Some with strange manners
Others with a glorious smile
Richard walks ahead for a better view
