We desire silence
We seek it in nature but nature does not exist
Except for the idea

A fence built around a tree
A false line separates you and me


Fight silence with loudness
Fight loudness with language
The meaning behind the words

Deconstruct and resist
With the movement of our lips
And tongue, the fluttering sound
Of a pen against a page

Wage war on nature
Silence is not fought with silence
Question notions of the natural
If they lack harmony
