Foothills Of A Fire Songtext

Foothills Of A Fire Songtext

Something like an hour after arriving
Jojo turned to us and swore
And then rolled his gaping eyeballs swiftly back down to the floor
That′s kaleidoscopic turning rippled right out of the door.
It was all within that moment when the three of us had gone

And following the swirling down from Baker to The Highway,
Jason shouted, "Look at Verdi staring Hermes in the eyes!"
But I was already off walking through the entrance of the garden...
Thinking of Alice, about Janus, about

How many of the things I've had have been washed away.
Like a dream escapes me, I was there completely
Now it′s nothing more than warm and wrinkled fabric.

When the two had finally found me I was kneeling by a flower
With an arm deep in its industry I soon pulled from the soil
And from my elbow to my fingers, I was painted black as oil
That flickered neon pictures like the foothills of a fire.

And from the lights flashing formed two heads atop a woman's frame
That turned to watch our frozen faces as they
Echoed one another saying,

-She moves, she uses, she opens up her big black eyes and takes it all in.
-She smiles, amusing, she opens up her silver hand and takes it, all of it.
-She dreams, she falls in, she dances like a candle flame around the wind.
She moves, she uses, takes me with her big black eyes to where she's been.
She moves, she uses, she opens up her big black eyes and takes it all
Then she disappears and I

Fall crashing through a humming neon TV screen
And stroll past, dusting the glass off, and calmly ask them
If they enjoyed the movie.

Jason gleamed and ran off leaping headfirst out into the evening.
And Jojo was there, following without fear,
And they took off like they were flying.
