The tide made me return from the black
The storm in my head sings with ire
The trenched hair brings it all back
I slowly become as one with this mire

Life slowly flooded my bone marrow
Like the swell from this raging sea
The scent of my tears smells of yarrow
I wish I could dismiss my eternal plea

This is the awakening
