Headlights tread the highway′s silver lines
Forest lines the road and shrouds the sky
No one, no horizon, and no stars
Just asphalt, trees like cage bars, and the dark

Trails of mist, like ghostly hands
Keep sliding into sight
Reaching out, they beckon me
They lure me into the night
And it feels alright

What led to this path, I cannot say
Cannot quite remember or explain
Am I coming home or running away
Do I even care, is caution in vain?
My throat tightens, ice expands in my chest
The scenery slowly starts closing in


It feels as if I'm in free fall
I′m giving up control
Sucked into the vanishing point
The vertigo takes hold
Yet on I go

It's not a death wish, really
But the wolves are calling
