Same Girl Songtext
von Don’t Look Down

Same Girl Songtext

It′s funny how a crowded place can still feel so alone
It's funny how a foreign face could once have been a home
It′s funny how just one mistake can spoil a hard year's work
But she's just not the same girl anymore

I hate the way I can′t escape the echoes of a thought
That maybe, in some twisted way, it′s all somehow my fault
I hate the way she looks at me, like nothing's really changed
And I see her as the same girl I adored

And I know she′s just as beautiful
Her voice still so soft and sweet
She's good to me, as usual
How I wish I could stamp out the memory
Through guilty sighs and foggy eyes
I know that she feels it too
And all I want′s to ask her why
Should I trust her again?
I'd hate for this to end
But I just can′t go on anymore

It's funny how a crowded place can still feel so alone
It's funny how a foreign face could once have been a home
And leaving feels like quitting, but what else is there to do?
Cause maybe she′s the same girl, but not the same girl I once knew

And I know she′s just as beautiful
Her voice still so soft and sweet
She's good to me, as usual
How I wish I could stamp out the memory
Through guilty sighs and foggy eyes
I know that she feels it too
And all I want′s to ask her why
Should I trust her again?
I'd hate for this to end
But I just can′t go on anymore
