Gold The Moon, White The Sun Songtext
von Donald Byrd
Gold The Moon, White The Sun Songtext
Time drops before us like petals from roses
Turn and yesterday′s gone
Under the bridge draw the hours, the moments
All that is here rushes on
I read the news today, by noon it's passé
What′s a dreamer to do?
Somewhere the rythym of time beats cool and sublime
That's where I'm going to
Fall turns to spring in my land of enchantment
Simply to try out fantasy
Clocks on the wall stop their hands where you′re asking
Happy to just make time beat
And love is real to stay, but then it slips away
Forever it′s adrift in the air
You take it as you choose or lie back and refuse
Knowing that nobody cares
Gold the moon, white the sun
It's a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It′s a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It's a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It′s a land of imagination
Turn and yesterday′s gone
Under the bridge draw the hours, the moments
All that is here rushes on
I read the news today, by noon it's passé
What′s a dreamer to do?
Somewhere the rythym of time beats cool and sublime
That's where I'm going to
Fall turns to spring in my land of enchantment
Simply to try out fantasy
Clocks on the wall stop their hands where you′re asking
Happy to just make time beat
And love is real to stay, but then it slips away
Forever it′s adrift in the air
You take it as you choose or lie back and refuse
Knowing that nobody cares
Gold the moon, white the sun
It's a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It′s a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It's a land of imagination
Gold the moon, white the sun
It′s a land of imagination
