There′s been a jail break
I'm finally free
The chains on my feet have fallen from me
As I escape these prison walls
I see a man hanging on a cross
He paid the cost

Now I′m a prisoner
I can't explain this mystery
I'm a prisoner
Still trying to be free

I′m just as caught as I ever was
But I'm a prisoner of love


When I look up the cross is gone
I see a throne of grace surrounded by a song
He calls my name, I can′t turn away
Holy love can take a heart captive this way
That's why I say

I′m a prisoner
I can't explain this mystery

Still trying to be free
I'm a prisoner
I'm just as caught as I ever was
But I′m a prisoner of love

Sometimes I think of those still inside
Surrounded by fear and fighting for their lives
I hear a call to go back someday
And stand among the captives and say
