I noticed today you didn′t make it in
I figured that you were sick or maybe you'd been
But I thought last week you said something about your brother
And also you were worried about your mother

And I could be wrong
But it doesn′t seem like you
And we get along
But you might not say the truth

I overheard that you've been feeling unwell
You've taken the week off to get over this spell
And although we only send Christmas cards to each other
I thought I′d come by just to check if you will recover
Cause I know how it is
And people get busy
And I know how it is
When things aren′t that easy


Everyone's saying that you′re making it up
That you've been complaining and maybe you′ve had enough
But I thought last week you said that work keeps you going
Just sometimes it feels all a bit too much at the moment

And I could be wrong
And they probably know you
But they'll all move on
And forget what you′re going through

And I overheard that you've been feeling unwell

And invites to dinner
Everyone was saying how you're looking much thinner
You turned up to that last work party
