Winter came and went
It's the Spring of your discontent

Your own mind and a tongue that trips
On words you try and use to explain

Why go out like tears in rain?
Water curling down a drain
Courage, love, and dry your wings
Fly like a butterfly in Spring
Don't ask why, just do something and fly

You want a new tattoo, you want another you
Look in the mirror, see a stranger's eyes
She doesn't know just where she'll go
Some other girl she ran the show
Maybe soon, a face you'll recognise

This is the only life you'll know
Years go fast and the days so slow
