Death of Regret Songtext

Death of Regret Songtext
See I awaken from my slumber
To pull the wool from my eyes
And awaken to the clouds and sounds of thunder
Instead of the sunrise
Eyes adjust, focal clarity
Melancholy melodrama
The trauma of my life tragedy
Majesty of depression
Confessions til lessons are learned
Therapeutic music
My grip on reality? less than firm
See, percussion is the cushion on which i now rest my head
Im in that situation barely seconds after the laughter
Of the first nourishment of me being publicly breastfed
But I′ve already slept a billion times on the edge of my deathbed
But meanwhile my soul is infantile
So perhaps that was a death crib
With an immobile mobile
A blanket full of blankness
And a rather useless rattler
That oddly when its shaken fastly it makes no noise
See Im just a little infant boy with a bib
Lost inside of this crib
Full of this, and other morbid toys
Pacified by the baby like jargon of carbon copy, carbon life forms
That formally deformed these lifes formed
By fellas in this storm
Minus their umbrellas and yellow raincoats
See they are the same bros
Who close their eyes instead of being mesmorized by the rainbows
And what beautiful spectrums rainbows provide souls
Old tales told
Of pots of gold
At the end of the rainbow trek
A tale that no human could possibly prove incorrect
So with regret, i reflect
Through broken mirror memories
Of my stork deliveries i canceled
Selfishly i brought this life to a stand still
Twice this mans killed
And in my attempts to
Excuse these executions
I choose to
Defend myself and my selfish solutions
And choose to
View it as an illusion
Using illegitimate reasoning
To avoid eminent conclusions
To avoid these eminent conclusions
See the evidence is evidently, evident to he
Who must judge my soul at lifes end
Plea of guilty
Sentenced to an endless life of guilt
And such is always the case of us old filthy men
See it appears Im my own jury of peers
And i should take that long walk off a short pier
And disappear before i must peer
Into my eyes and witness cries of fear
Another tear
Trickles down my cheek as a mere
Physical manifestation of emotional pain of years
Taken from a soul that never once opened its eyes to see clear
This soul never knew success but surely met demise
And Im so blinded by the past
I cant see where the future lies
Thats right
The future lies
Past tells the truth
The present? its open
And this empty box is the proof
The ribbon? A noose
To place around the neck of regret
And choke her til she dies
And end this quest for happiness
To pull the wool from my eyes
And awaken to the clouds and sounds of thunder
Instead of the sunrise
Eyes adjust, focal clarity
Melancholy melodrama
