Too deeply about the cares that weigh us down

Recounting marvelous tales and strange delusions
Unlimited thirst for fantasy
Disbelieving the facts they see
In exchange for an exhausted false reality

Impelled on by groundless hope
Naively expressed as evidence
Astonished listeners re-tell fanciful legends
Might as well be fairy tales of little girls
Staring out to Neverland
Textual distortion in their hands
A false translation misunderstood
Echoes of corrupted text


Staring into the sun
Focused on the need for meaning
Dreaming yet not asleep...
Mind seared by false teachings

The wisps of dreams from another world
Steeped in delusion
Weighing in their lives down

What can′t be proven lacks claim to truth
Steeped in delusion- entrancing sacred ruse!

Ignore their claims that contradict reason
Guard and revere respect for truth
Zealots emboldened to say
That by their faith alone
The words in doubt are proven true
When they can't even understand the language
The ancient texts were written in
Well-intentioned, and yet misled
Platonic passed off as Christian

As if they had deep meaning)
