Staring at a crimson horizon,
Watching the sun drown in the ageless sea

And with a fervent promise, the gleaming ocean silently beckons me

For I am draped in a cloak of shadows,
Woven from everything not meant to be

Though in fiery raiment,
Fabric of universal scope, I long to be clad... eventuelly
Like dying sparks we are

But glow before we fade
Unlit souls within
Encased by waning shades

Cold lava in my veins
Melting my marrow
The essence of my being
Flows with extinct desire
Erratically floating nowhere

On the tides of regret
Destined to fail, weary of trying
To ignite the pyre in my heart

A blazing kingdom of your will
The world shall be
Breathe the rancid stench of inadequacy
The rotting corpses of your dreams
Piled in a smoldering heap of decay
From these embers moldes to char
Under ashes doomed to dwell
Everglowing fate of man
Born unlit, captive eternally
