Late one night when I was sad I walked down to a lonely place
Where I was safe, drank a beer and thought I had to hold
The world up in my hands, so full of shame thinking back
When I was bad the things I said to all my friends I shouldn′t have

And the moon was red and I cried
Then some one touched me on my back
And I turned around to the most beautiful girl


With black hair and curls brandy and pearls
When I asked her her name she said look your star struck in love

All at once it came to me I′d been a fool for all those years
That follow me every hour of everyday
I went to war to save my self from all those fears all was lost in late July
I found my peace in marching home to heal my wounds
