When the sunlight hit the water
I was halfway through a dream
I was diggin′ myself
A comfortable hole
Where the moon dripped milk
Sight to see


I tore out all the flowers in my way
Sang out loud the things
I never could just say
Stared a wanderin' mind
Right between the eyes
And went on my diggin′ way

Then I went south
Put on a record
Put my feet up on the window
But I was dancin' in my mind
