There′s a grinning skeleton hanging at the flower shop
It winks at me when I walk by
And whispers to me, 'you will die′

The skeleton is made of wax
And shredded cloth, and tape, and tacks
It's hanging by a piece of twine
It winks and tells me, 'you are mine′


My mommy says it′s in my mind
The skeleton is just a joke
No matter how I plead and cry
I cant convince her that it spoke

There's a scratching on the closet door
It opens slowly with a creak
As I lie, quaking, in my bed
The skeleton says, ′you are dead
