Where Are You Now Songtext

Where Are You Now
(Chris Clouse)

Jonathan doesn′t know what to make of the morning
When the yellow blemishes the blue in the sky
He's not really sure if still wants to live in this city of nights

Moved here to the Bay just to see what he can do
Seen the too and the fro felt the love of another then watched it go
Took a new pill took him to the top of the world
Now he asks himself

Where are you now where are you going without a dream
You thought you′d find a golden pardon from life somehow
Some magical place to dedicate your heart but now
Where are you now

He's lucky to have a room even though it's not all his own
He walks the streets to feel he′s done something in his day
Calls once a month to mom to tell her he still hasn′t found "Mom, what's driving me away?"

Jonathan has always seen himself outside the scheme
He talks with demons who taunt him with foolish dreams
He plays the guitar but doesn′t know what the music means
So he sits and he waits and he asks himself

I see the people walking down the street
With smiles on their face
Getting them through the lonely days
I just want that glimmer in their eye
A desire a fire
Whether money, music, painting
Wanting, giving, taking
