The Flood Songtext
von Charles Wesley Godwin

The Flood Songtext

There is a storm brewing in the southeast
Grandmamma feels it in her bones
They′re calling for the rains to pour down
On a biblical scale ain't seen since Noah was around

What would you do when the Lord calls
Would you go over the bridge for your blood

Got a call from my folks said "The water is rising"
"There goes the fence" Momma said then the line went dead
Got to find my way, no I just can′t stay
When the voice inside your head says you must go home

What would you do when the Lord calls
Would you go over the bridge for your blood
Over the bridge, when the Lord calls
What would you do, for your blood

Well the bridge washed out over Red Creek
It's life or death and a gas pedal at your feet
Go for it with all you've got
If you live or die all that matters is you fought
For your blood

What will you do when the Lord calls
Will you go over the bridge for your blood
Over the bridge for your blood
Over the bridge for your blood
What will you do when the Lord calls
For your blood
Over the bridge
