I picked up the guitar to write this
And I want the words to be priceless
But I have a feeling they′re just going to come out plain
Cause I hear that voice again
Talking like a friend
Why are the songs all so sad
Does it seem that way
Do I seem sad today
It's just whats rolling in my head

It′s only me that puts my heart ease
And I am hoping there's a righteous path in front of me


Always I've had in mind
This dream of mine
To play in some kind of band
Maybe I′d sell some records
Put out a couple tunes that I keep rolling in my head
But it ain′t be easy
But some of it's be fun
Mostly it′s left me deaf, blind and dumb
And regrets, I have a few
But only one or two
Not worth keeping in my head

It's only me that puts my heart at ease
And I am hoping there′s a righteous path in front of me

Sometimes I feel I've been at this way to long
And then it rushes on in
Sometimes I feel tired and not so strong
