Licking the Days Songtext

Licking the Days Songtext
Licking the day′s every shape,
Every crime on the move,
How bout you?
The purples and pinks
Rise and swallowing everything new,
How bout you?
No wonder i'm digging through patterns,
I can and can′t undo
How bout you?
"Who" and "why," not important to keep.
Passing by, through the flimsy retreat,
Re-approach the lung, happy and loud
There's a cat somewhere hiding his smile from you
And all today,
The wrists align,
Side by side, i watch the fleet fly.
And if today, and with the sun,
You and i, in the real fire
All of who we are never
Living in spurts, im busting to burst out of line.
The stones in my belly, so hot,
And so favored by time's right.
The smiles, i rake in, like sounds,
I′ve been taken in kind
F.D.R. -northern bound, the portland
Bridge brings me round and around
Licking the days every shape, bending
More than i choose, you.
The children laugh loudly and
Play in the winds afternoon, how bout you?
There′s men outside hanging their palms.
Flex and hollow, their moods.
So certain in life without meaning,
Where were you when you crossed the street?
I'm playing my mind out in secret,
As if there was such a thing.
Once it′s thought, it's been,
But never like it could if you′d only have
Grabbed from above.
Once alone, it finds reason,
To give across from the eyes of the stone.
All today, the wrists align,
Side by side, watch the fleets fly
And if today, and with the sun
You and i, in the real fire
And all of who we are and never
And if you're clean, and if i′m clean
Every crime on the move,
How bout you?
The purples and pinks
Rise and swallowing everything new,
How bout you?
No wonder i'm digging through patterns,
I can and can′t undo
How bout you?
"Who" and "why," not important to keep.
