Where the desert breaks the night
Where now-and-then walk the same line
Where the cold wind tears the walls apart
Nothing left but the beating heart


Man worshiped his ground, eyes on the sky
Still there are mountains too high to climb
Awake at night, blood turned cold in his veins
Trapped in emptiness, in his own chains

The empty blue plain surrounds dreaming souls
Still searching for a better place to call home
Dark waves washed the pain away
It ended in fire, from fire it will rise again
