Pride of Man Songtext
von Bryan John Appleby

Pride of Man Songtext

Perched on tops of proud and tadri steeds
sits a large and loud nobility
the chatter boasting of their wicked king
his filled fat pockets, his plocked fat trees
but you and i are among this men
your place is further up and in
there find castles gold and cloud
with golds and brick
but my final blow will shut them in
but my final blow will shut them in
land white washed and withered like the heart
of men that stupid grow 'bout in the dark
but undereath the surface of the snow
a little sappling shoe begins to crawl
each new branch an offered hand

for wheary little birds to land
and in its shade the tired soul
will rest forever more
above its spouse a lamp of life will glow
above its spouse a lamp of life will glow
the king of now has come that shall not pass
and all the pride os man shall break at last
child a little child will lead them on
wolfs shall follow close beside the fall
and each new branch an offerd hand
for wheary little birds to land
and in its shade the tired soul
will rest forever more
abvove its spouse a lamp of life will glow
and if i ever see its slide i hope i go
