Does a song have to make any sense
Does a song have to be relevant
Does anything I say make any sense
Do my words have to have meaning
Should they elicit some feeling
Does anything I say mean anything

Or could it all mean nothing
Like I feel nothing
So I guess I′ll sing about nothing
It's the only thing that makes sense to me


Do my words have to stay on theme
And with a similar rhyming scheme
Or can I just do and say anything
To and if for and then not what
Two and if for and do not how
I think I′m losing my grip on everything

Then again it could be nothing
Like I feel nothing
So I guess I'll sing about nothing
