What’s Up With Stephen? Songtext

What’s Up With Stephen? Songtext
Spends all period on his phone-usually gets a worksheet done
Then he wants to sit at my desk or start a fight with Larry
Has this faraway look in his eyes- too heavy for someone his size
I know there′s nothing ostensively wrong and you've talked to his mom
The children read a world without fish
They watch news about immigrant kids
Why won′t they concentrate on the test
Principal reminds them of consequences
We can endure him for three more months
Hope he gets out in June
With a host of other issues
He'll be the least of our concerns
Does Steven have a friend in the world
Do his hopes still work
When he weighs things out is there love
Coming from where his attention's drawn
Then he wants to sit at my desk or start a fight with Larry
Has this faraway look in his eyes- too heavy for someone his size
I know there′s nothing ostensively wrong and you've talked to his mom
The children read a world without fish
They watch news about immigrant kids
Why won′t they concentrate on the test
Principal reminds them of consequences
We can endure him for three more months
Hope he gets out in June
With a host of other issues
He'll be the least of our concerns
Does Steven have a friend in the world
Do his hopes still work
When he weighs things out is there love
Coming from where his attention's drawn
