Well I, I never thought I would admit it
But the times that were bad sound much better
When I see them written down
All the times that were tough like junior college in the Spring
Playing shows in run-down taco shops and the rec hall in my town

Hindsight, they say is twenty-twenty vision
Meaning that the grass ain′t always greener side to side
If God only knows what's in store
I′ll read about it in books and magazines

I can't help but sit and complain when I'm the opening band
Looking back on today it wasn′t all so bad

My car is out of gas and the air-conditioning doesn′t work
Teaching Sunday School when I can't say I have it all together
