Such opulent shadows

Benighted, admonished to trust
The caitiffs will settle for servitude
The sick will give of their flesh
Desponding minds are prospective possessions
For malefactors to divest

Talons grip the treasures and troves
Sharp tongues harvest the hatred of the poor
