The Captain Songtext

The Captain Songtext
All aboard the Spanish main
Sailors search, but in vain, for some sky.
Roman galley miniature
Tiny slaves to be sure trapped in side.
And the history unfurls, Bottled ships of many worlds line the wooden walls wherein the captain dwelled—a secret life withheld.
Was it only yesterday vicious storm took his little child away?
In a misty drift of years tiny ships hold loving tears seem to pray.
To the hands that carve these tails, tiny sheeps and smiling sails.
An aging cork conceals
Sailors search, but in vain, for some sky.
Roman galley miniature
Tiny slaves to be sure trapped in side.
And the history unfurls, Bottled ships of many worlds line the wooden walls wherein the captain dwelled—a secret life withheld.
Was it only yesterday vicious storm took his little child away?
In a misty drift of years tiny ships hold loving tears seem to pray.
To the hands that carve these tails, tiny sheeps and smiling sails.
An aging cork conceals
