Upon a rockin′ horse
The colour black who rides
Thro' a forest of dreams and laughs.
At the evils that cannot be seen.


Yet like the ageing of a child at play,

And borne in the wind are the seeds
That burn in the hearts
Of boys a-passing your way.

You wake to find your troubles gone,
Then love only life as it grows,
And trust every flower,
But not the red, red rose.

Dance upon the clouds above,
