Keep your head down
You will not want to hear this
It is too loud for such gentleness
Throughout this order ossified
One kin stirs in the rough
Weals like wool to mollify
And unkind burs caught on the cuff


Silhouettes express the waft
In hairline brush marks
And essences are held aloft
By afterthoughts fed on the dark

Your furrows flare and moor
The menace out on the bluff
So you go first and I′ll take the remnants
They are enough

And I keep my head down
Cos I do not want to see this
It is a phantom unbound
By such gentleness
