Just Like Everybody Songtext
von Ben Moody

Just Like Everybody Songtext

Well I guess I lied,
I don′t have much in common with the world outside.
And no one really knows how much I have to hide.
Or that I'm really very ugly deep inside,
I wish I was just like everybody.

Nothing changes
I wish I didn′t have to tell a lie today,
But I know no one could ever love me anyway,
And any good you get from me is just a role I play.
I wish I was just like everybody.

I, I, I'm so afraid
I, I, I'm so afraid...

Well it seems,
I′m no longer a child and this is not a game.
I see so many suffering and I′m to blame
But underneath my eyes of lust, I'm sick with shame,
I wish I was just like everybody.

So turn away
I wish I could′ve saved you from the pain I bring.
But there's no truth behind the pretty songs I sing,
And I′m not sure I ever believed in anything.
I wish I was just like everybody.

I, I, I'm so afraid
I, I, I′m so afraid...

Well I guess I lied,
I wear the same old mask as everyone outside
And everybody knows about the shame I hide
And that I'm really very ugly deep inside.
I'm so, afraid.
I′m so, afraid!
I′m so afraid...

I'm just like everybody
