Conception and the Funeral Songtext
von Ben Kenney

Conception and the Funeral Songtext

I′ve always dreamt of something beautiful,
Between conception and the funeral and now,
I'll wait if that′s where I'll find it.

I spent a lot on something trivial,
I couldn't tell you what was meaningful till now,
I got a taste of the feeling.

There ain′t no use in being practical,
The motors running and the tank is full,
Let′s get on the road before the morning comes.

Come with me for a day,
And the distance,
Will drive the pain away,
Of that I'm sure.

There isn′t anything else you need to take,
Nothing material in any case so now,
We'll make a plan when we get there.

Sometimes there′s promises you have to break,
So only make the ones you have to make and I,
Know how to handle my expectations,

You're nervous and you want to hesitate,
Afraid the whole thing might be a mistake so now,
Just let your heart do the thinking.

Come with me for a day,
And the distance,
Will drive the pain away,
Of that I′m sure.

See I've never been so sure,
About anything in my life,
I've never felt this way,
About anything.

Someday I′m gonna run away with you,
And if it′s only for a day or two then I,
I'll wait if that′s where I'll find it.

There isn′t anything I'd rather do,
Then leave the world behind and be with you so now,
I′ll wait if that's where.

Come with me for a day,
And the distance,
Will drive the pain away,
Of that I'm sure.

See I′ve never been so sure,
About anything in my life,
I′ve never felt this way,
About anything.

I've never been so sure,
About anything in my life,
I′ve never felt this way,
About anything.

I've always dreamt of something beautiful,
Between conception and the funeral,
And I′ll wait

I spent a lot on something trivial,
I couldn't tell you what was meaningful.
