Underneath the lace
Lonely and forgotten
Gone without a trace
Her blond hair soaked black
Tangled round her neck
Down by the water
In cold ground she lays

They will come for me one day
Asking if she ever crossed my way
And for sure I'll have some solid alibi
I′ll pretend to think for a while
Wear "I wish I could help you" smile
They won′t ever know I bid her last goodbye
