Muscle Memory Songtext

Muscle Memory Songtext

Like muscle memory
I find myself walking toward your street
Again, without thinking
I′m writing down words I'll never speak

I walk past our old meeting spot
Remembering how we would laugh a lot
I still go maybe once a week
To keep writing down words I′ll never speak

I think we both know
The depth our memories go
I learned to keep it light though
I learned to keep it light

Still have never heard you sing
It can't be as bad as you're imagining
The last year we watched winter turn to spring
Lots of saying things that we didn′t mean

At the park where we plannеd our trip
Not our best idea but we wеnt with it
I found meaning in a scratch-off
After ruining your mom′s tablecloth

I think we both know
The depth our memories go
I learned to keep it light though
I learned to keep it light

We took the long way, had enough to say
Happy golden birthday, "That's what friends are for", you say
Your three day weekend is when I caught you seeing
Your love walk out the door and you could not ignore it
