Violet Songtext

Violet Songtext
The beauty
Of living
The moment.
I′ve chased the ghost of
Fame and success
My whole adolescence.
A reverie in sound
That tends to nothing
But selling tickets
In the best theaters.
We don't all have luck
So, when it gets bad,
I take the bow out
And graze the strings ′cause
I don't wanna die.
I'll play my songs loud
As far as I can remember
And lose some notes because
The score′s gone with the wind.
While it flows,
I will dance with the walking people.
Will I ever gain a second wind?
We′re a crescendo
That ends in silence
And we sing threnodies
To hush the racket.
The tempo's rapid,
I′m keeping it up
Although I'm aging.
It doesn′t matter.
I'll play forever
And I′m so sorry
If the melody's too loud,
My souls screams out aloud:
"I don't wanna die at all!"
I know I won′t gain
A second wind,
So I′ll breathe in
And live the moment.
Of living
The moment.
I′ve chased the ghost of
Fame and success
My whole adolescence.
A reverie in sound
That tends to nothing
But selling tickets
In the best theaters.
We don't all have luck
So, when it gets bad,
I take the bow out
And graze the strings ′cause
I don't wanna die.
I'll play my songs loud
As far as I can remember
And lose some notes because
The score′s gone with the wind.
While it flows,
I will dance with the walking people.
Will I ever gain a second wind?
We′re a crescendo
That ends in silence
And we sing threnodies
To hush the racket.
The tempo's rapid,
I′m keeping it up
Although I'm aging.
It doesn′t matter.
I'll play forever
And I′m so sorry
If the melody's too loud,
My souls screams out aloud:
"I don't wanna die at all!"
I know I won′t gain
A second wind,
So I′ll breathe in
And live the moment.
