Seemed Like A Good Idea (At The Time) Songtext

Seemed Like A Good Idea (At The Time) Songtext
Making bad decisions, is one of my hobbies
And if you ask me why, you know I′ll probably play dumb
Most of the time, my will precedes my reason
And I don't think it through, as a rule of thumb
Just like tailgating the garbage truck
Sooner or later, I′m gonna run outta luck
Cause it seemed like a good idea at the time
I guess that's just how the planets aligned
Messing up without reason or rhyme
But it seemed like a good idea, at the time
In the wrong place, at the wrong time
Is the where and when, I find myself all day
Bad timing and bad choices, by the second
Just a sad, sad character, in a cosmic play
Like having just one more last drink
And waking up with some brand new ink, I didn't think
Cause it seemed like a good idea at the time
I guess that′s just how the planets aligned,
Messing up without reason or rhyme
But it seemed like a good idea, at the time
So, making bad life choices, well, it′s kinda my thing
Doubt if I'll ever look, before I leap
And I′ll wander through this life, just a happy idiot
And what I've sown, ya know is probably what I′ll reap
Just like taking home another sweet young thing
And waking' up in Vegas with a brand new ring
Cuz it seemed like a good idea at the time
Half my life could be considered a crime,
Constructing crooked mountains to climb,
But it seemed like a good idea, at the time
Seemed like a good idea
Seemed like a good idea
I may be seen at the scene of the crime
But it seemed like a good idea, at the time
Seemed like a good idea
Seemed like a good idea
Screwing up without reason or rhyme, but it
Seemed like a good idea, at the time
And if you ask me why, you know I′ll probably play dumb

Screwing up without reason or rhyme, but it
Seemed like a good idea, at the time
