Never busy on a Sunday
Never stepped foot in a church
But I loved the painted windows
And the music I overheard

Wasn′t looking for something
Didn't need to be saved
Started paying attention
I found God in a way

The sun always comes in the morning
No matter how dark the night′s been
And it all seemed dawn without warning
How holy this little life is
Guess I found religion
Sitting in the kitchen

I don′t need a place to worship
I don′t need a real big purpose
I can sit here watching flowers grow
Just to know
The bees have a place to go

When the sun shines in the morning
After the darkness of night
Dawn seems to come without warning
Everything bathed pink light
Guess I found religion
Sitting in the kitchen

I've been waiting all my life
Just to wake up and be fine
Not to feel the heavy weight
Of all the faults I have to date
Pour a coffee try a smile
Watch the birds a little while
They sing love songs to the sun
So should I, at least just one


Guess I found religion
